Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

By Your Side is an AI voice agent that answers and places phone calls for our customers. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, the lawful basis we rely on, and the choices you have.

The data controller is A. O. Signtech, an Israeli company (company registration no. 513915652), registered office at Harakefet 9, Zikhron Yaakov, Israel. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact support@byourside.ai.

When you configure an agent, you control the call data your agent handles, and we act as your processor for that data. We are the controller of your own account and billing information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and contact data: your name, email, password, and the details you give us for support.
  • Business profile and knowledge: the documents, FAQs, hours, pricing, and other content you give your agent.
  • Call data: call audio and recordings, transcripts and summaries, caller phone numbers, caller metadata, and call timestamps and durations.
  • Wallet and billing data: your wallet balance, usage, and transaction history. Payments and card details are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, not by us.
  • Device, usage, and log data: IP address, device and browser information, and diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

  • To answer and place calls, and to perform the actions you configure (booking, transfers, messages).
  • To create recordings, transcripts, and summaries and make them available to you.
  • To operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To process payments, manage your wallet and plan, and send service messages.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

3. Lawful basis (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases for each purpose:

  • Contract: to deliver the Service to you and to bill for it.
  • Legitimate interest: to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. We balance these interests against your rights.
  • Consent: to record calls where consent is required, and to send you marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax records and to comply with the law.

4. Sub-processors

We use a small set of vetted vendors to run the Service, covering telephony, speech-to-text, language models and text-to-speech, authentication, hosting, content delivery, transactional email, and Merchant-of-Record billing. Each processes data only to perform services for us, under contractual safeguards. The current list, with each vendor's purpose and region, is on our Security & Compliance page.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data sharing

We share personal data with the sub-processors above, and with professional advisers, auditors, or authorities where the law requires or permits it. We may share data in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy. We do not otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep call recordings and transcripts according to your account configuration, then delete them. We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for any period the law requires after that. You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time by emailing support@byourside.ai, and we will do so unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

7. Security

We protect data in transit with TLS, encrypt data at rest, and apply access controls so that only authorised people and systems can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of serious incidents as required by law.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCCs), to protect transfers of personal data.

9. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data-protection authority.

If you are in Israel, you have rights of access and correction under the Protection of Privacy Law (PPL).

If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any right, email support@byourside.ai.

10. Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Cookies

Our marketing site and dashboard use only essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site working. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and tell you about material changes.
